Hi from cold and icy Indiana……………know you will get this after your anniversary, but I really didn’t forget - just didn’t get on my computer in time to get a message to you on 12-20. So belated anniversary greetings.
We are planning a much scaled back Christmas this year; none of the kids will even be here……….we’re all going to Terry’s on the 27th. Tonight was to have been the Jud Construction Christmas party, but because Mike had to lay off three guys before Thanksgiving, the other guys thought it best to not have a party or even Christmas bonuses. The first time in 40 years that any of the guys ever had to be laid off. That is just how bad the economy is now. Could be a long winter before things get better.
Hope you’re all doing OK and getting ready for a wonderful celebration. I have an email from Julia with some “pactures” but I can’t open the file, so I’ve forwarded it to Jud’s computer at the office and he will print them off.
Guess the one really good thing that has happened………..Mandee’s boyfriend, Jonathan is back from Iraq!!!!!
Have my Swedish tree up for Christmas - makes me miss all of you even more. Think of you every day; tell everyone “hi” from us and have a wonderful Christmas…………………………nancy & jud

God Jul / Mien

Here I am at the computer (Jonas). All of the animals says merry christmas. In the old days people believed the animals talked the night before christmas. We talk to ours the year around. This morning we also had three ewes we gave medicin.

Back from Iraq! I never knew he was in Iraq. Well that would make this the happiest of christmases. And it puts things in perspective as well. I have held little Mandee in my arms when she was a little baby and I guess her boyfriend isn’t much older. Little babies shouldn’t have go to war! Tell him not to go there again (if he has a choice) and also tell him how greatful we are that he did go there and serve his country and also us, everybody else, that stand up for freedom and modernity.

It is sad about the economy and it must be so sad having to lay those guys off. Will they be able to find jobs elsewhere? If they have families and children in school it is harder to move where the jobs are of course. It is a similar situation here. We have a neighbor that runs a construction firm. He and all the other firms have had almost too much work these years and now it has really slowed down. But then again people like us are beginning to think we should remodel the attic (or whatever around the home). Mien is thinking the boys could have a room of their own up there. Before this crisis it was difficult getting hold of people to help you with things like this. Over here farmers are also looking at new investments so construction in that sector hasn’t slowed down. So tell Mike there will soon be openings. He will find customers in new segments with people that has “laid low” those years of steaming hot economy. Remember the greatest asset you americans have. Your optimism!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Man får försöka ha perspektiv.

wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could
do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog.
