Livräddning i Tofta
Jag vet inte om jag nu är tillbaka här på bloggen efter semestern men ikväll fick jag lite lust att blogga igen. I vintras jobbade livräddaren Christian på Hemsebadet och han engagerade sig mycket i våra simmarungdomar. Nu är Christian tillbaka på Gotland igen som livräddare på Tofta strand och han ville gärna träffa hemsesimmarna. Så ikväll åkte vi till Tofta.
Christian visade runt på livräddarstationen. Många livräddare har en bakgrund som just simmare och jag tror Emrik blev lite inspirerad att skaffa sig en livräddarutblidning. Christian har under vintern varit iväg med Fritidsresor och jobbat som badvakt i Egypten så man kan med en sådan utbildning komma iväg ut i världen och se sig omkring.
Eller till Tofta då. Vi fick titta in i livräddartornet.
Här gör sig gänget redo för ett träningspass. Det var tre hemsesimmare på plats, Vendla, Emrik och Julia. Och så lite mammor och pappor och tränar-Johan och hans barn. Jonas mötte i vanlig ordning upp från lammklippning på norra Gotland.
Barnen fick först ha landträning och den avslutades med en slags tävling. Man fick ligga ner i sanden och på klara färdiga gå skulle man snabbt resa sig upp och vända och springa åt andra hållet…
…för att få tag på en pinne som satt i sanden en bit bort. Det var jättekul.
Sedan var det olika livräddningsövningar. Vendla har simmat långt ut och Christian har först sprungit en runda på stranden och är nu på väg ut för att “rädda” henne.
Här släpas Vendla upp på stranden. Tränar-Johans barn badar i bakgrunden. Det var väl cirka 17 grader i vattnet. Brrr.
Allting slutade lyckligt den här gången.
Och så fick alla prova på att paddla på den där livräddarbrädan. Henning också. Det var en rolig kväll! Tack Christian för att vi fick komma!
Nu håller vi tummarna för att det blir lite varmare så att simmarna kan delta i Sundsimmet nästa helg. De ska simma från Broa på Fårö till Fårösund. Men vattnet måste bli lite varmare. Minst 17 grader måste det vara, annars är det farligt.
Men livräddarna från Tofta kommer att vara på plats i Fårösund med sina båtar och brädor. Det känns tryggt.
