Min erfarenhet av den gotländska polisen är att de är hjälpsamma och trevliga. Det är när man ska ringa och anmäla något utanför kontorstid och hamnar i Stockholm som det blir problem. Jag har varit med om det flera gånger, nu senast var det Hemmansägaren som råkade ut för det.
En kväll kör Hemmansägaren som vanligt över Mästermyr till Hemse för att hämta eller lämna något av barnen. Då får han se en bil i diket. Eftersom vi kör över Mästermyr flera gånger om dagen, och han inte sett bilen tidigare, reagerar han.
Det syns att bilen varit ute för en olycka, kört in i ett träd eller dylikt, för den är illa tilltygad där fram. Tänk om föraren ligger skadad någonstans? Eller har irrat iväg ut över myren? Hemmansägaren blir orolig och ringer polisen.
Eftersom det är kväll är det polisen i Stockholm som har telefonjour, vi kan säga att personen som svarar heter Lisa. Lisa har inte fått in någon anmälan om en olycka. Hemmansägaren undrar om Lisa kan se om det finns någon polisbil i närheten av Hemse som kan komma och titta lite. Lisa vet då inte vart Hemse eller Mästermyr ligger. Och sedan börjar hon jiddra med Hemmansägaren:
- Finns det någon antydan om brott? Inbrott? Det är inte olagligt att köra i diket, vet du, säger hon.
- Nä, men jag är bara orolig för den som körde, säger Hemmansägaren. Och så är det ganska mycket grejer i bilen. Det ser ut som om någon kanske brukar bo där. Och det finns alkohol.
- Ja, men det är inte olagligt att ha det stökigt i bilen, säger Lisa i andra änden då.
- Nä, men jag tänkte kanske att personen som körde kan ha varit påverkad och kanske irrat iväg och behöver hjälp.
- Ja men det kan man ju inte veta. Inget brott verkar vara begånget.
Och så där håller det på tills Hemmansägaren säger:
- Hej och tack tack! Jag tror vi lägger på nu!
När han kommer hem är han fly förbannad.
- Det är märkligt att man ska behöva bli bemött på det viset när man bara försöker bry sig. Makalöst! Som att dumpucka med en tonåring!
Vi kan bara hoppas att föraren klarade sig oskadd ur det hela. Bilen däremot har blivit liggande i diket på myren trots att det här hände för flera veckor sedan.
Jag har sett det här fenomenet med bilar som blir liggande öka under senaste året. Jag antar att det har att göra med att man inte har bilen försäkrad. Min mor har i snart ett år haft en sådan bil stående på sin åker. Hon har ringt kors och tvärs för att få hjälp med att få bort bilen men ingen har kunnat hjälpa henne. Polisen kan ingenting göra. Den ursprunglige ägaren har avsagt sig ägarskapet. Mamma själv får inte flytta bilen eller köra den till skroten eftersom det inte är hennes bil. Hon har fått rådet att knuffa ut bilen på vägen för då måste regionen ta hand om den för att den då utgör en trafikfara. Mamma har inte känt sig bekväm med att ställa till med en trafikfara så bilen har blivit stående.
Men så äntligen fick mamma telefonnumret till någon på regionen som får ta bort avställda bilar och då försvann bilen på någon dag.
Det är ju lite vemodigt med kraschade bilar som blir liggande. De skapar en oro.
